Art worth more than a half-million dollars has disappeared from a Scottsdale gallery that abruptly closed in November.

Sedona artist Alan Wolton, 76, filed a report in December with Scottsdale police regarding seven missing paintings, some works valued at as much as $150,000.

Wolton believes his paintings may have been sold by Peter Shaun Alderman, owner of the Willow Gallery at 7175 E. Main St. in Scottsdale, before its closure in November. The paintings were part of Wolton’s collection on display at the gallery.
