Islamabad – Archaeologists present papers on heritage issues

ISLAMABAD: The final papers by archaeologists and scholars have been presented during the concluding session of the three-day conference on ‘Cultural heritage issues in Pakistan: archaeology, museums and conservation’.

The American Institute of Pakistan Studies, in collaboration with the US Embassy and the Department of Archaeology and Museums, Ministry of Culture, organised the conference.

During the last session of the conference, Afzal Khan, Deputy Director, Department of Archaeology, Punjab University, presented his paper on ‘Pattan Minara excavations and conservation: The importance of Gupta period monuments in Pakistan.’
