Charles Ryskamp Bequeaths Work to Frick and Morgan

For nearly 30 years Charles Ryskamp was a familiar face in the New York museum world, first at the Morgan Library, where he was director for 17 years, and later as director of the Frick Collection for a decade before retiring in 1997. As savvy as he was at fund-raising, acquiring important artworks and presenting highly praised exhibitions, he was just as clever when it came to his personal collecting.
