Australia – Artworks moved as flood level rises

The Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) has shifted its collections and valuable works on loan to upper levels in a bid to save them from Brisbane’s devastating floods.

Floodwaters are rising around the city’s major cultural institutions, including the Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA), the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), the Queensland Museum, and the State Library, which are lined along the Brisbane River at South Bank.
