Ancient coins stolen from car in Queenstown

AN ANTIQUE coin collection with examples dating back to 200BC and valued at $7000, was stolen in Queenstown last week.

The 11 bronze, silver and alloy coins, some of which depict Roman soldiers and chariots, were stolen from a Hyundai sedan parked in the driveway of a Long St house, on Thursday May 21, between 10pm and midnight.

Anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Long St, or who maybe offered these unusual coins are urged to contact Port Adelaide Police.
